Titre | University of Wisconsin: Apple sentenced to 234 million in damages |
|
||
Description | Apple is doing quite well in the lawsuit which opposes the WARF (Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation), the organization responsible for the management and protection of patents of the University of Wisconsin. On October 13, we learned that the manufacturer had been convicted of several offenses of university patents on A7 chips (read: Apple loses trial on the A7 processor, big fine view). However it was unclear what would be the damages owed by Apple. The WARF had raised more than $ 800 million, an amount reduced to nearly $ 400 million a few days later. Finally, the jury found that Apple has to pay $ 234 million to the organization. The manufacturer has decided to appeal this decision, while the complainant was obviously welcomed the verdict. But we have not finished to hear about it. |
